Lambda Phi Chapter of UMBC

 Lambda Phi Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc was chartered on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County on April 28, 1990 by sixteen UNTOUCHABLE ladies. This journey began when ten young ladies were inducted into the Gammette Club in January 1990 at Howard University. As time went on, six additional ladies joined the group and became apart of the Aurora Club on April 1, 1990.  The charter line was presented to the UMBC campus on April 2, 1990.

Since its inception in 1990,  Lambda Phi chapter has participated in many charitable and service events that served the UMBC campus and Baltimore County community.
